And I'm back. After starting this blog over a year ago and doing one (yes, one) post...I finally decided to freshen up this blog and try again! ....If anyone even looks at this any more. :P I'm excited to be blogging again. I'm going to try for a post every week, but no promises! ;)
A lot has happened in my life in the last year. For one, I graduated! Cheers to Mom for being the best-est teacher ever and actually surviving homeschooling me. Her and Dad definitely get the credit, not me. ;) And yes, I get "the question" all the time...."so what are you going to do?" The answer is, I don't know. I really just don't know yet. I have lots of ideas and dreams, but am still sort of recovering from a crazy, stressful summer, and not sure that I want to start anything big quite yet. Besides, right now I'm doing so much I really don't have time for a whole lot else! Between working in our family business raising dogs, raising Ragdoll cats, babysitting, teaching piano, and helping out at home, I don't have a whole lot of spare time on my hands. But, I am planning on starting some online schooling soon - more about that later. :)
I started reading a new book recently, "When God Writes Your Life Story" by Eric and Leslie Ludy. I'm in the second chapter and so inspired from just the little bit I've read! A quote by Amy Carmichael really stuck out to me and I've been thinking about it a lot. "God's dreamers are always unpractical, but in the end...their dreams come true." Our family has also been reading another great book, "Do Hard Things" by Alex and Brett Harris. Again, we're only in the second chapter, but it is sooo good! Both of these books are about rising above the culture's mediocre mindset and making a mark in the world. These have been great reads as I'm starting a new phase in life right now and trying to figure out what exactly my "nitch" is.
So, all that to say - sorry I'm kind of rambling here - I haven't figured out exactly what I'm doing, but I'm excited to document my adventures on this blog. If any of you have post ideas, let me know!
Talk soon! ....hopefully. =)
